If you dream of eloping just the two of you or with just your closest friends and family, I highly recommend you elope at San Francisco City Hall. This is the perfect spot for any couple because you can dress it up or keep it low-key. It has stunning architecture, grand staircase, gorgeous marble pillars, and beautiful interior design. City Hall provides a breathtaking backdrop to say your “I do’s”.

San Francisco City Hall

San Francisco City Hall offers a romantic atmosphere that enhances the couple’s emotions and creates an unforgettable experience. It’s perfect for couples who want to have a beautiful and timeless backdrop for their wedding photos.

One of the unique aspects of eloping at San Francisco City Hall is the ability to make your wedding day personalized and creative. You can have the entirety of your day in City Hall by renting out one of their beautiful rooms, or you can head into the city after for variety! Whether you prefer to be in the bustling downtown, head to the outskirts for more nature (Sutro Baths, Golden Gate Park, etc) or completely head out of the city and into the greater Bay Area (Muir Woods, Mt Tam, etc), there is the opportunity to create your most perfect day!

Recently, I shot one of my favorite elopements of ALL TIME here. Kristi and Dean decided to celebrate their 6-year dating anniversary by eloping at San Francisco City Hall. They opted to keep things intimate and had only their immediate families present. The couple’s decision to elope made their day all the more special. They were truly able to focus on each other and their love.

Bride and Groom Style

Kristi is officially my fashion icon. She chose a short dress with a winged cape. Plus she added the prettiest pearl vintage headband to complete her stylish and unique look. Her dress was fun and trendy, while staying classic, which showed off her style perfectly. Likewise, Dean showed off his style and wore a classic suit that complemented his bride’s outfit perfectly. And bonus: Kristi made her own florals using flowers from the local SF farmers market.

The ceremony was short and sweet! We then took our time exploring City Hall taking photos along the way! Afterward, the couple explored the city with their families, enjoying the beautiful scenery and just bopping around their favorite spots. Because they’re local, we even got to go back to their home and pick up their sweet pup, Ziggy!!! Obviously, we had to have a mini photoshoot with their furbaby included too!!
