Being a Yosemite engagement photographer is a dream!! Can you think of a more magical place to get engaged than Yosemite?! ME NEITHER.
Victor reached out to me a couple of months before their trip about having me capture his proposal to his girlfriend of 5 years, Olivia!!! The two are from the east coast and had this trip planned this California trip with Victor’s parents. This is a possibly once in a lifetime trip for the two so Victor figured this was the perfect time to drop down on one knee!! He also wanted to take advantage of having a photographer and incorporate engagement photos right after!!
First, we decided a sunrise proposal would be best because there’s a lot less people in the park at that time so we had the best chance of having some spots to ourselves! I almost always recommend sunrise for Yosemite photos for this reason!! We opted to have him proposal at Tunnel View and it was GORGEOUS!!! Bridalveil Falls was full and the sunrise was absolutely stunning!!!! It was the sweetest moment and Olivia was completelyyyy surprised!!!!
From there, we drove down through the valley and stopped at one of my favorite spots to take photos!!! Cooks Meadow gives panoramic views of the valley!!! There are so many backdrops you can get in just one spot. Plus in the spring it’s filled with gorgeous green grass with incredible views of Yosemite Falls! The animals tend to be more active as well and we even saw a bear crossing the field from afar- it was amazing!!!!
The falls are generally only super full in the winter and spring, so we wanted to take full advantage and decided to walk to the base of the falls! It’s a very easy half mile hike and totally worth it. With the sun coming out, it even created a beautiful rainbow effect!
If you’re planning for Yosemite engagement photos or a Yosemite elopement, reach out!!! I would loveee to help you plan and capture your day!!!
