Being a Yosemite engagement photographer is the dream because I get to capture these incredible memories for adventurous couples like Natalie and Mike!!! Natalie reached out to me about taking photos at Glacier Point and Taft Point. I was over the moon excited as I always am when someone reaches out about Yosemite!!!
Generally, I always recommend taking photos on a weekday if possible as weekends can be pretty crowded in the most popular places. However, the second-best option is to get up dark and early to see the sunrise at Glacier Point. It was beyond magical and 1000% worth it to catch the light streaming in over the mountains. Natalie started by wearing her traditional Vietnamese dress at this first location!
We then headed towards Taft Point! Natalie dreamed of the epic faraway shot of the two of them overlooking the valley!! Plus, Mike had never been to Taft Point until this shoot so it was extra special!! We were lucky to have a pretty clear day and you can definitely make out all of the details of the valley below!
Lastly, they changed outfits once more and took a few final photos in the gorgeous forest that lines the hiking path leading back to the parking lot! I always love getting these forest shots on the walk to and from Taft Point as well. It adds some fun greenery to the images and provides so much variety to the overall album!
If you’re looking for a Yosemite engagement photographer, definitely reach out!! From these iconic lookouts to adventuring down in the valley, there are so many gorgeous places I’d love to take you!! Plus, I can help you plan around the season you’re wanting to head there so that you can make the most of it!!
