The Stavrand Russian River Valley in Guerneville, CA is the perfect location, and I can tell you this from personal experience as I had the pleasure of staying here recently for a 48 hour getaway!

The Stavrand in Guerneville, CA – Sonoma County Wedding Venue

If your wedding vision consists of an intimate and private estate tucked into the redwoods, then a Stavrand wedding is right up your alley. The entire estate sits on 6 acres and has 21 guestrooms along with common spaces. If a weekend wedding celebration is your thing, this Sonoma County wedding venue has all of the accommodations to make your dreams a reality!

This venue can accommodate up to 150 guests. There are a total of five indoor and outdoor even spaces including Chefs Meadow, Bower, the Courtyard, Stravrand Hall, and the Sun Room! The five event spaces at The Stavrand make whatever kind of setting you dream of for your wedding day possible! Not only are the spaces gorgeous, but the amenities at this venue are insane! They have lawn games, fireplaces, a library, massages, and even outdoor firepits with smore kits! Seriously, if this doesn’t sound like a dream weekend wedding venue, I don’t know what else does!

My Stay & Itinerary at The Stavrand Russian River Valley

Like I said before, I can speak on The Stavrand from personal experience! During Christmas time, my boyfriend and I had the pleasure of staying at The Stravrand and it was a so magical! We arrived on a late Friday night, and then stayed Saturday and into Sunday! So, if you’re looking for more of a weekend getaway, check out our itinerary below!

Saturday

-Woke up early to enjoy the INCREDIBLE full spread breakfast that comes with your stay! Seriously we couldn’t stop raving about it and my boyfriend still dreams of the potatoes!

-We walked around the property’s gardens before hopping into their hot tub!

-Then we headed out to Bodega Bay for horseback riding on the beach!!! I can’t recommend this experience enough! We booked through Horse N Around Trail Rides and it was one of our favorite experiences we’ve ever had!!!

-Finished the night with a bottle of wine and cuddling in the common space.

Sunday

-Sunday morning it was raining so we enjoyed a cozy morning in before leaving for Armstrong Redwood Forest! Lots of fairly easy trails with gorgeous views beneath the trees!

-On our way out we visited Duncans Mills so I could pop into the little bookstore there, Poet’s Corner Bookshop! Walked out with a new book of course!!!

And that concludes our 48 hour trip at the Stavrand! Everyone there was so incredibly friendly and helpful, and the entire place is so thoughtfully designed! We can’t wait to go back and I can’t wait to shoot a wedding here soon!
