This Taft Point elopement was beyond magical!! I immediately fell in love with Jane and Warren from the moment they reached out! Jane wrote the sweetest email and shared that they loved Disney and Warren even proposed in Disneyland!! I knew these were my kind of people- obsessed with the outdoors AND Disney!!!
Like many others, Jane and Warren had to cancel their original wedding plans due to Covid. But they decided to take advantage of this unexpected change of plans and see the silver lining!! Neither had been to Yosemite since they were kids so they decided to take this opportunity to finally go back to as adults!!! A Taft Point elopement became the new dream!
They were inspired by images of Taft Point and decided to have photos taken at both Glacier Point and Taft Point. It was the perfect combination for a variety of photos!! It’s hard to decide which is more iconic!! Taft Point was ultimately most important to them though, so we opted for a sunset session! If you want the best lighting for Taft Point, sunset is best. If you want the best light for Glacier Point, then sunrise is best!
We started at Glacier Point and then made our way over Taft!! One of my favorite things about Taft is that you get the cliffs and a gorgeous forest on your hike in! There is truly so much variety!! If you want more tips, check out my blog with 5 tips for how to elope at Taft Point!
It was so fun to photograph Jane and Warren!! They are so sweet, easygoing, and fun!! Plus we were lucky to have one of the prettiest purple sunsets!!! We ended the night with some carefree dancing as the sun went down!! Then Jane and Warren changed into their hiking clothes via my pop-up changing tent (I bring it for all adventure elopements!!). This was hands down one of my favorite Taft Point elopements of all time!
