Torrey Pines is one of the most magical places in San Diego to take engagement photos!! There is so much variety all in one place! From the lush forests to the sweeping views of the ocean, it has so much to offer! We also lucked out and it was a gorgeous and warm February evening! The sunset faded into the softest pastel colors ever making for the most beautiful ending to the shoot! 

This location was also an obvious choice for Sara and Michael because these two are super outdoorsy adventurers! I’m not exaggerating either! For fun these two love to go bouldering and rock climbing. They showed me photos of them rock climbing in Yosemite and my palms started sweating just looking at it!!! They not only have a shared love of adventure, but also for the arts. Michael is an amazing photographer while Sara is an incredible painter! Her artwork spans from paints to watercolors to sketches. My jaw dropped when I saw her work! They are so whimsy and dreamy!!! 

In addition to their shared passions, these two clearly love each other fiercely! There were so sweet and supportive of each other, and laughed and danced through the whole shoot! They clearly bring out the best in each other and have tons of fun together.  

It’s no surprise that after several years together, Michael proposed to Sara on a weekend long camping and hiking trip! The two are having an intimate wedding this June at a beautiful ranch in Northern California. They specifically made sure their venue could accommodate serving Mexican food for their guests!! Tacos for a wedding reception? YES PLEASE! I just love that these two are making sure every step in this journey uniquely reflects who they are!
