Dreaming of a Santa Cruz redwoods wedding?!! Look no further than this incredible bridal elopement session!!

Joanna and Henry actually got married the month before in Hawaii, but ended up wanting additional photos in their wedding outfits. They were a bit underwhelmed with their own photos, and were looking for more intimate photos of the two of them that showcased their love and the beautiful scenery!! Since they got married on the beach, they opted for the redwoods as their bridal session. Plus, they live nearby in San Jose so it was an easy drive for them to pop over easily. 

We had a blast hiking down to the creek to take the majority of the photos! We selected a less known hike and had the trail mostly to ourselves! I highly recommend booking a photographer who will be able to find a more remote spot for you to celebrate your love. Also, let them know how much hiking you prefer to do!!! I’ve done intense multiple mile hikes and also short and sweet ones that get us to the destination quicker. For this one we ended up getting down to the creek pretty quickly which was nice for a quick 1 hour session!

Favorite Part

One of my favorite parts was that at the end of the session, Joanna asked that we actually get down into the water for some final shots!! It was so much fun!!! I love when couples like to play around- especially when there’s water!!
