The Sacramento Delta is one of my favorite places to take Sacramento engagement photos! There are so many beautiful and quaint towns along the river that make for the most amazing and unique photos! Plus there is direct river access, vineyards, and gorgeous mature trees everywhere. It has so much variety and is always one of my favorite Sacramento locations to take engagement photos!
Maren and Tyler both grew up in Sacramento and had a strong attachment to the Delta so they opted for this location! I was so excited!! We had the perfect fall evening- sunny and crisp!! Plus I knew it was going to be the best night when the first thing I said to them when they arrived was “I swear I just saw a whale in the Sacramento River” and they 100% rolled with it like it’s not a crazy thing to say!!! I really do think I saw one! Hahaha. If you look up “whales in Sacramento river” you’ll see what I’m talking about!
Anyway, back to this amazing couple!! Maren and Tyler are seriously the best!!! Absolutely one of the cutest and most giddy couples ever!!! One of my favorite things is that they actually thought before this that they weren’t photo people, and boy oh boy did they prove themselves wrong!! Literally every time someone says they think they aren’t photogenic, they end up being one of my absolute favorite sessions!
I absolutely can’t wait for their wedding this summer! We were planning out the timeline together last week and one of their top priorities is leaving plenty of time for dancing anddd making sure I’m covering double the amount of dance floor time that I normally do!!! Love it when dancing is a priority and I’m SO excited!!!
