About Jocelyn and Nick
Nick spent a lot of time in Spain with his mother’s family and Jocelyn spent a lot of time in Mexico in her parent’s hometown. Since they started dating, the two have also spent tons of time traveling to their favorite locations!! With this inspiration, the two planned a “meeting of the cultures” theme for their reception! They had a mariachi band play during their ceremony and cocktail hour, they served paella for lunch, and then at night, they had tacos for a second dinner. They also had a tequila only bar!!! It was SO fun and they had a specialty sangria cocktail to make sure their guests could enjoy a beverage to cool off on the hot day!
These two weaved in so much of their own family traditions, cultures, and their travels together! They even hired their friend’s band to play for them!!! I loved how personal they made their entire wedding feel!!!
The Wedding Day
Jocelyn and Nick got married at a gorgeous local church. It had beautiful stained windows and natural light filtering in from the glass windows in the roof. The ceremony was a traditional mass and they had lots of local friends and family gathered, but due to Covid travel restrictions, most of Nick’s family was unable to attend because they are located in Europe!! They live-streamed the ceremony for their friends and family to attend virtually!
Once the ceremony concluded, Jocelyn and Nick cruised over to the reception location in style! Nick is super passionate about cars and so they rented a vintage car to transport them!! From there we got some incredible photos in and outside of it and then we were whisked off to the reception!! It was held at Jocelyn’s family ranch and was absolutely gorgeous!!!
Overall, dinner was amazing, the dancing was SO lively (they even had a money dance which was the first time I’d ever seen it!), and the sunset was perfect!!!
