I could not have dreamed of a more amazing Sacramento Family photoshoot!! Sweetest family? Check. Adorable baby? Check. Super cute pup? Check.

I met with Erin, Luis, and baby Joshua in Land Park for an early morning session. I highly recommend this location to any family with little ones because it’s so easy to access and has lots of background options!

We started in the rock garden and took some photos under the archway, amongst the greenery, and next to the purple flowers. There was so much variety within the tiny garden it could have fueled an entire session! We wanted a lot of variety though, so we walked over to the pond next  and took some photos in front of the enormous water plants. They look like tall lily pads and boasted the prettiest pink flowers. It ended up being perfect for the mother and son photos!!

From there we found some shade and set up a picnic blanket. For family shoots, I generally bring a rustic burlap sack or a small blanket to sit on. However, if you have any blankets that have sentimental value, I recommend bringing them to your session and asking your photographer to incorporate it into the session!!

These last photos on the blanket are arguably my favorites because Joshua got some solos in! He is at such a fun age because he can sit up on his own!!! I was absolutely dying over his sweet little face!!! We planned in advance and Erin brought some bubbles to the shoot. Little did I know this was his FIRST time ever seeing bubbles and his reaction was so sweet- he was so confused!!! It was beyond precious and made for some super cute photos!! I definitely recommend bringing some to sessions with babies under one year for some genuine candids. It was so fun for Erin and Luis to partake in as well!!
