My love story & family

I live in Sacramento, CA with my husband and three pups!!! My husband, Sam, and I met in high school freshman year on day one! Our lockers were next to each other allllll 4 years and we were actually in the same group of friends! While we did have minor crushes on each other freshman year, we never really pursued it! We then both went to Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo and kind of went our different ways, but remained friends! Then after several months of not seeing each other, we ran into each other at a party and something just sparked between us that had never been there before. After months of flirting, we finally got together and have been together since!!!

We lived in the Bay Area for a few years after graduating college and just recently moved back to our hometown Sacramento to be close to family and friends!! We’ve had our sweet husky since junior year of college and ended up adopting a family member’s 14 year-old super cute chocolate lab when we moved into our house in Sacramento. Then in 2021 we adopted our French bulldog from an incredible LA dog rescue, Road Dogs. The 5 of us live the best life all together and I couldn’t be happier!!!!!

Favorite places on earth

Hawaii and Disneyland are hands down my favorite places of all time. My heart just feels at home in both of these places. To start with Disneyland, it’s just pure nostalgia. My mom raised my sister and me on Disney movies growing up. We visited Disney often and I just have so many happy memories there! Visiting Disneyland just takes me back to the magic of childhood, friends, and family. I love it so much!!!

Hawaii on the other hand is somewhere I didn’t visit until I was 24! My parents didn’t like to fly so I never went growing up, but it was always my dream!! I saved as much as I could the first couple years of work and finally booked my dream trip there with Sam. It sounds really corny, but seriously the moment I stepped foot on a Maui beach, my soul felt at home. There is nowhere on earth that makes me so calm and happy which is why I offer special deals for weddings and elopements there. Sam and I even got married in Hawaii and honeymooned on a different island after!!!

Favorite activities

To sum it up, I love hiking, working out, reading, and watching my favorite TV shows!!! I love working out and the community it creates!! I’m actually a barre instructor too!! It only takes a few hours a week and it makes me so happy to encourage other women to hit their goals and feel supported!!

I love a ton of variety in my book and tv show choices!!! I’d have to say that historical fiction is probably my favorite genre for books, but oddly enough not for TV!!! My all time favorite TV shows are Parks & Rec, Gilmore Girls, and Psych!!! I’m currently watching Yellowstone too and am obsessed!!! The first season of West World and every season except the last for Game of Thrones are also honorable mentions!!!
