If you’re recently engaged, I can’t recommend taking Carmel engagement photos enough!! Specifically, Carmel by-the-sea is a super cute and upscale coastal town in California leading right up to the beach. There is so much variety in backdrops! From the beach, to the beautiful shops, to the gorgeous neighborhoods- you could stroll through the town and never run out of places to take photos! Not to mention, there are tons of gorgeous wineries and rolling hills nearby in Carmel Valley if that is more your style. Monterey is also a short drive with the bay and classic coastal town feel. 

Maya and Tyler are from nearby Salinas and we opted for a sunrise beach couples session in Carmel!! How freakin’ cute are they?!! They started dating during their time at Cal Poly and then both moved to Salinas for work after! Carmel is super special to them as they spend a lot of time here with family and friends!! It was basically a no-brainer to pick this location! 

We met at sunrise and the first thing I did was visit one of my favorite Carmel coffee shops to grab coffees for the three of us! This is basically an essential for any morning session with me!! When we got to the beach, I was blown away!!! It was spectacular!! The water was literally glowing a turquoise pastel color. I could not get enough!!! From there they changed outfits and we walked around Carmel. I loved that they had two completely different outfits, but both we soft colors that look incredible in photos!! I’m kind of obsessed with how many fun and vibrant doors there are in town! That plus the greenery and vines covering many of the houses and downtown storefronts- so dreamy!!
