Bridesmaid getting ready photos are so so special! These are some of the most fun and candid photos from the entire day! Here are 3 tips to get the best photos of you and your bridal party possible.
This is possibly theeee most important element. Natural light is so flattering in photos. It’ll create a bright space and cast a gorgeous light on your complexion. At the very least, try to avoid harsh yellow lights or fluorescent lights when possible. Turn them off when having your photos taken if that doesn’t make the space too dark!
Make sure you LOVE the getting ready space. I personally love rooms with neutral and simple décor. A less distracting background ensures that YOU are the focus in the photos. However, if bright colors and a fun eclectic setting is your vibe, then by all means find a space that has that!! It all comes down to just thinking about what you want and go from there.
You should know what time your photographer is arriving in the morning to start taking your photos. Its super important to have the room tidy before they arrive. I recommend appointing someone in the group to help you with this!! A clutter free room makes a HUGE difference in your photos! While you can always move things around as you go through the photos, it takes away photo time and you’re most likely to lose things.
So now you know those tips and are wondering…should you book a hotel or an Airbnb?
In almost every case, I recommend an Airbnb or some other type of rental. Here’s why!
I hope this helps you plan for the best wedding morning ever!! For some wedding family, photo advice click here or here for the pros and cons of doing a first look!
