If you’re planning to have an Oahu elopement on the beach, look no further for all of the inspiration you need!! Vy & Kristian’s photos will take you from getting ready at a Waikiki resort, to tying the knot beachside, to exploring one of my favorite easy waterfall hikes on the island!!

Then once the videographer and I arrived, the two of them even took turns switching rooms so they could truly have a first look experience right before the ceremony!! It was so fun spending time at the hotel getting to sip on coffee and start the day off slow and really enjoying every moment. Plus, we got some incredible and unique city shots outside on the balcony showing off Waikiki and the mountains behind them! 

I absolutely love that Vy & Kristian opted to have a few photos taken as they got ready for the day!! They also had the most incredible details that they wanted to make sure were captured which I absolutely LOVED!!! Just because you’re eloping doesn’t mean you can’t get some of the classic shots if that’s what you’re looking for!! In their case, they had a super cute sign announcing their elopement, they had gorgeous florals, and custom jewelry (take a close look at Vy’s anklet- they have each of their furbabies represented on it!!). 

From there, we headed out to one of my favorite beaches, Waimanalo. While generally I always recommend a sunrise elopement for Hawaii to avoid the crowds, if you do plan to elope midday like these two, select a slightly less popular beach!! While the beach was far from empty, we still had a pretty big area to ourselves that felt secluded. After a beautiful ceremony with heartfelt vows, we spent some time taking photos here!! 

Moana Falls

After a quick stop at a boba shop Vy & Kristian were pumped to try (they get boba once a week while at home so they had to incorporate it into their day!!), we headed out to Moana Falls!! It’s seriously one of the most gorgeous lush areas and was such a fun way to end the day!!!! If you plan on having an Oahu elopement, I highly recommend taking the day to truly explore the island- from the city, to the beach, to the mountains, to your favorite food spot- this is your day to experience it all your way!
